How often should you change water filters in the UAE?

A water filter doesn’t stop working on a set date. It slowly fills up with what it catches, and the water quality drops a little every week. Here is how often filters really need changing in UAE homes, and the signs to watch for.
Our rule: every 4 months
For most homes we change cartridges every 4 months. Water here often comes from roof or ground tanks, so filters catch more sand and sediment than in many other countries. Changing them three times a year keeps the flow strong and the water clean.
Signs your filters are overdue
- Lower water pressure at the shower or kitchen tap.
- Brown or orange cartridges when you look inside the housing.
- Chlorine smell coming back, which means the carbon is used up.
- Taste changes in your drinking water.
What happens if you wait too long
A blocked sediment filter cuts the flow to the whole house. A used-up carbon filter lets chlorine through again. In drinking water systems, old filters can shorten the life of the RO membrane, which is the most expensive part.
Use genuine cartridges
Lower-quality cartridges can look the same but may not filter as well or last as long. We fit genuine US-made cartridges on every visit and show you the old ones next to the new.
Let us remember for you
Every system we install includes service every 4 months for the first year. After that, our maintenance plan covers every visit and everything due, so you never have to keep track yourself.
Questions people ask
Can I change the cartridges myself?
You can, but we recommend our team does it so the housings are cleaned, sealed and leak-tested properly.
What does the maintenance plan include?
A service visit every 4 months, with everything due replaced: filters, salt, and media when needed. AED 999 a year.
